Todd Harrison’s Favourite Quote of Mine As of March, 2004
From my trilogy liner notes.
Printing these lyrics may emphasize the words as the art to which one
should pay attention. This should not
be the case. The value of lyrics is
evident. But what many composers really
want to say is said through the melodies and harmonic structures. It is here that we enunciate conscious
moods, subconscious thought, and attempt to communicate with known and unknown
listeners, and also with the great beyond.
Therefore, see these lyrics as half, or even less than half of the art
I have created.
